چکیده

TOPIC: Lung Pathology TYPE: Original Investigations PURPOSE: It has been reported that AEP histopathologically exhibits diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) with eosinophilia. However, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), interstitial pneumonia (AIP), and exacerbation of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, also exhibiting DAD histopathologically, are all life-threatening diseases. AFP is rapidly improved by steroids alone without remaining fibrosis or sometimes even treatment, whereas these diseases the same histopathology show greatly different clinical courses, which remains a question to solve. METHODS: Here we investigated in2surgical lung biopsy 14 TBLB cases. Additionally, determined presence absence in RESULTS: Characteristic histopathological findings consist edema infiltration eosinophils lymphocytes perivascular area interlobular septa. The spaces showed fibrinous exudates. There were no hyaline membranes massive intraluminal fibrosis. These fluid exudates radiological can explain rapid complete improvement. CONCLUSIONS: Because dose not exhibit it should be included associated CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: We reveal true AEP. DISCLOSURES: No relevant relationships Hiroshi Mochimaru, source=Web Response

Acute Eosinophilic Pneumonia

Acute eosinophilic pneumonia is a severe and rapidly progressive lung disease that can cause fatal respiratory failure. Since this disease exhibits totally different clinical features to other eosinophilic lung diseases (ELD), it is not difficult to distinguish it among other ELDs. However, this can be similar to other diseases causing acute respiratory distress syndrome or severe community-acq...

Acute idiopathic eosinophilic pneumonia

Introduction: Acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is reported to be caused by a variety of etiological agents most of which are drugs. The objective of this case report is to describe the presenting features and the clinical course of AEP in a patient with no obvious etiological cause for an acute pulmonary process. Case Report: This case report details the clinical course of a patient who prese...

Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia.

Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia (IAEP) is a rare disease but of clinical importance because of its good prognosis if treated promptly and appropriately. The etiology remains unknown and the temporal relationship between IAEP and a history of resent onset of cigarette smoking has been described. We report a typical case of a 21-year-old male with recent onset of smoking, who presented wi...

Risperidone-induced acute eosinophilic pneumonia.

BACKGROUND Acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is a severe syndrome which can be induced for many reasons, including drugs. AEP has rarely been associated with first-generation antipsychotics and never been reported after use of second-generation antipsychotics, such as risperidone. CASE REPORT We report a case of a 64-year-old man with a medical history of alchoholism and paranoid symptoms, t...

Daptomycin-induced acute eosinophilic pneumonia.

INTRODUCTION Daptomycin is a cyclic lipopeptide antibiotic with activity against gram-positive organisms. With increasing use, acute eosinophilic pneumonia is a rare, but potentially fatal adverse drug reaction that requires prompt recognition. The authors present a definite case of daptomycin-induced acute eosinophilic pneumonia. CASE SUMMARY A 61-year-old woman with poorly controlled type 2...
